As we say in ORSC, “conflict is something new trying to happen.” Preventing conflict is synonymous with encouraging “stuckness.” But for conflict to not become destructive, the system (team, group, couple) needs to uphold Deep Democracy, and it seemed like your “Claire” wasn’t ready for that — some ideas are difficult to hear, and insecure leaders tend to be scared of sharing their authority.
