I am curious about how economic systems affect people's ability to feel (and be) financially empowered and grow wealth, however they define that. I just got back from a hiking trip to Patagonia and am reflecting on what my guides told me about their systems in Chile and Argentina. I've since begun reading news accounts of economics in those countries.

I'm also curious in how cultivating my yard ecosystem could help me grow fruits and vegetables. Last year, I planted a small oak tree, a buttonbush, Lamb's wool, and various flowers in hopes of creating the conditions for further growth. I'm experimenting, noticing, reading, and asking questions of gardening friends.

Beautiful questions Kym. I'm so curious about this nest/grass home that was built the other day by one of our bushes. It looks like a dome so neatly made. At first there was a little hole to enter now when I examine it it's cover with small twigs and more grass. Hmm...I'm so curious. I will look online today to see what I come up with.

It could be an ovenbird! Which is a new bird to me. YAY! I'm going to take a picture...its says they make a domed shaped nest on the ground. I'll keep researching. Thanks again Kym for the nudge. :)
